Which one is your friend? I need to email him and confirm
that he doesn't know you and wouldn't wish to.

Is this really what you want? Are you going to be proud in
the future when you sift through your droning posts? What
are you trying to prove? Probably a lot. Probably that
you're addiction to drama has relegated to an insignificant
messageboard that you can't ever get around to log out of.

that is intentional. im not sure if pulseclock understands
that i like him loads but its fun to make him very angry
thats all.
(some people hate people like me but i think im alright)

yo elusive, you been living in a detroit for a while right?
how long has it been like it is in the video?

I like the community attitude, it's great, but i could see
problems arising when a lot of people start moving there. It
looks like fun right now though.

i grew up in the country (2 hours north or so) - and was
never truly exposed to detroit until age 20 or so. where i
grew up, feels like youre in another country. michigan
really is lovely...and 2 hours in any direction can take you
to another world/feel.

detroit gets more negative press on the tubes because that's
what sells (like the topic video says); people love hearing
about a city in peril.

there's nice pockets (e.g. midtown/wayne state university
campus, huge medical campus/hospital), downtown downtown is
nice...it's 3-8miles outside of the city that's shit.

community attitude is pretty good but it's not my thing; im
glass-half-full type of guy i just cant find the outward
enthusiasm. i bought a home here so that says more than
most. but im in a good area and hedged my risks pretty well
--- and the gf is going to med school for 4 years so
short-term it's a good decision.

there's still no shopping downtown. bars, restaraunts, ball
games/stadiums etc...but no one comes here to shop. all of
that is in the suburbs. i dont know if that'll ever come
back; im not in a position or have the history to make such
hypothesis.

party life is pretty decent...some real quality people here,
no doubt. im not heavily experienced in other major cities,
but anytime i travel to chicago for a show or whatnot, it's
pretty contrasty the difference in how things operate and
just the quality of people. in those big cities you cant
hop around town to multiple parties in a night,
either...here, you can do all that and still squeeze in a
coney before an afterparty. the ghost town feel is nice
sometimes too because it gives you a sense of the wild wild
west and just being able to get away with anything re:
traffic violations. but that's only after hours, as during
the day things are pretty standard for city life.

i can understand the appeal to the younger crowd. it
reminds me of the heady days of Sputnik and Yuri Gagarin...

"but i could see

there"

pretty vague statement.

wayne state university
Student Population Number of Students

care to expand on your thoughts?

Is there a reason why you're coming at me all snarky and
also is the a reason why you assume I had a rephlex
anniversary party?

In any event i'm assuming you're referring to the whole DEMF
afterparty debate thing. Well i think i'm having a good
enough time bumping Jay Dee on vinyl for a nice suburb party

pulseclock, only you could assume a random comment was
somehow directed towards you....are you that selfish?

'youre' and i was the OP of the thread. who were you
directing it at anyway?

the rise and fall of a city/civilization within a human
lifetime. the implications melt my brain.
