that phaser on the bells from the beginning. Perhaps it actually gives it some spice, perhaps you could just lessen it. im not too sure really... |

mmm theres no phaser... theres an lfo on the volume of the hi band of the melody, syncronized with the tempo (2/4) , what makes the it goes like circles... do you mean that? well, in fact thats just a synth melody with lots of effects (and a kick), maybe its the final result of all of them and provably a total madness to arrange if its not nice sounding... |

try without the lfo. also you could repeat the stuff at 0.19 to 0.25 once before going for the melody that comes after. was the keyboard part improvised? this are all just suggestions of course. if for any reason you like the track just as it is then its better to leave like that. cheers. |

yes, the keyboard was improvised by my friend and yes, ill try without the lfo, thanks for advice you two! the tune was just a first trial on something, btw, a tune for a concert we are doing, he just played the melody this morning and i added the fx after that. |

depending on the degree of autonomy you are willing to substract from your friend, you could record what he plays in audio AND midi so you can edit his playing later on, if only as means to structure his improv as you see fit after adding other stuff. I do like the track as it is so far. and is good to be of help, so you are welcome. |

yes, kei, i recorded on midi in another instrument and constructed a different synth for the track-cant be bothered to arrange or change the notes he played (as its just a test and made for a live session, not a track), and i liked it that way, totally imperfect and with no much sense, just like if its my cat who played it (look picture! ;) |
