WORK or PRISON…
IN PRISON AT WORK
You spend the majority of your time in an 8x10 cell You
spend most of your time in a 6x8 cubicle
You get three meals a day You only get a break for 1 meal
and you have to pay for it
You get time off for good behavior You get rewarded for
good behavior with more work
A guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you You must
carry around a security card and unlock and open all the
doors yourself
You can watch TV and play games You get fired for watching
TV and playing games
You get your own toilet You have to share
They allow your family and friends to visit You cannot even
speak to your family and friends
All expenses are paid by taxpayers with no work required
You get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they
deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners
You spend most of your life looking through bars from the
inside wanting to get out You spend most of your time
wanting to get out and go inside bars
There are wardens who are often sadistic. They are called
managers

Where would you rather be?

It does seem that a lot of criminals nowadays have it way,
way too easy.

Do you remember those stories Jonesy, of the those
dilinquent kids who were punished with I all exspenses trip
to Egypt!

I'd like to go to Egypt....what have I gotta do, rob a bank
or beat up some old granny - no Queen mother jokes Jonsey ;)

In prisons you get raped and that is something you wouldn't
want to go through, I imagine. Work sucks, I agree, and your
list of opposites is a cool piece of work. But we are here,
chatting and having fun, and later we can all fuck off to
our respective homes and listen to the music and have fun
with our cats/ partners/ friends. You don't get much of that
in prisons.

Well I don't work so I'd much rather be at home then work or
prison. But out of prison or work, thats easy, work. Meho is
right, even if your workplace sucks atleast after work you
have FREEDOM to go home and do what you want. And thats a
very awesome thing.

But it does seem to be the thing now that prison sounds more
like a resort than a place of criminal punishment. Lately
here there has been this big case where these two teenagers
raped and killed this granny and they got atleast four years
in jail with a maxium of six years I believe. The family and
heaps of people are all really angry at the amount they are
getting and how the kids are being treated. They get access
to a gym, swimming pools, can watch cable TV and more. Of
course the kids lose their freedom for sometime (and of
course I'm sure prison is a highly violent place rife with
rape) but I just think that Pay TV and swimming pools seem a
bit over the top.

i worked in a prison before... i'm serious here. i was a
"screw" in a small detention center. i liked working there.
i would work the midnight to eight shift, and sometimes the
other guard (there were only 2 guards) was my mom, so we
would take turns going and sleeping in one of the cells
while the other one held the fort. i loved working in jail.

but i dont see why so many people hate work. why spend the
greater part of your life doing something you don't want to
be doing? i am learning how to cook and i work in a
restaurant, and this is wonderful. all you have to do is
what you want, and get paid for it. just dont do what you
dont want to do, and shut up with the complaining!!!

i've been in jail and still had to work, in the kitchen with
no days off. that really sucked. you get paid $.50 a day.
you work 8 hours a day. everybody (the guards and the other
inmates) fucks with you to try and start shit. there are 2
tvs between 64 inmates. 4 pissers and 4 shitters for all of
those 64 inmates. other than all that fun stuff, jail
rules!

Kenny Davis: You guys gotta get me out of here! There's this
guy Nasty Nate who wants my cocktail fruit, and everyone
here likes fresh fish! Then The Squirrel Master came out of
left field and told me I'm his bitch!
