The owner of this label has offered to release
this track of mine on Beatport.

Should I do it?

Presch doesn't see why not.

Cuz they get to own half the song, and we can't get it
pressed on vinyl. Those are about the only downsides I see.

Pff i don't know man, Beatport? It depends on what you
really feel you want to do with your music. How you want to
present it really.

Uh, anyone can release on beatport. There are a million and
one tools for artists to sell and distribute their music
online now, without the need to use other people to do it.
Bandcamp in particular makes net labels completely
pointless.

If you get "signed", then you should expect a proper
cd/vinyl release, with good distribution. Getting a track
uploaded to beatport is not the same thing at all.

This was my feeling. Thank you for clarifying.
