No, the film was Inception, but I might make one of those
mash-up posters! Thanks for the idea, now I can't get rid of
it.

Viktor, there's a kind of texture on most of your poster
designs, like folded paper - i'm wondering if you added that
texture just for having the effect of being a real poster,
or do you print your designs like that?

Exactly, just want the vintage look, they look so dead and
clean otherwise. Haven't printed any of my posters actually,
but I think I would skip the texture if that would happen.
Maybe a very subtle one, if any at all.

Added a few pics on my flickr, tho I'm not very happy with
all of them: LAZY_TITLE

I like the second version with the wine glass, it's classy.

So do you make the posters in a large, printable-size
format, or do you make it roughly the size they appear on
flickr? The reason I ask is because i'm wondering if you got
those textures at a huge resolution, just incase you'd need
to print it as-is with a good enough resolution. (I hope
that made sense.)

No i was asking if he makes his posters originally at a
large enough printable size, and then scales them down.

What the fuck is your problem?

things?

Actually some people who aren't as formally inclined do tend
to make smaller images to showcase a style or idea. If my
assumption is correct, then he used a vector program, in
which he could create an image relatively small in size and
go back to it later and easily scale it up.

Take a look and see my first question was referring directly
to the application of the textures, and my second question
was referring directly to the size and resolution of both
the image and the textures. Forgive me if my second question
seemed redundant but i'm attending an art school and
technical specificity tends to be commonly regarded as a
valuable inquiry. Maybe you just didn't comprehend the
actual difference between my first and second question.

Your assumption is wrong. He didn't use a vector program
after to make a smaller image for flickr.

Well my assumption, regardless being right or wrong, still
doesn't justify your response to my second question.

Also that's not what I even said at all.

I said my assumption was that he used a vector program to
create the image, and then scaled it down for flickr in that
same vector program. The original size of his image i'm
referring to on his flickr is 842 by 1191 pixels, roughly
11" x 17" That's like the standard small size for a poster.

So my second question was referring to the texture size, if
he imported it at a size larger than the original size on
flickr. And if so, how or where he got those textures at a
big enough size.

You didn't say that though originally. Think before you
type. Read it again and probably delete it.

A sentence can't be started with "Also" or "And". My advice
is to try another approach to making a living. Communication
is not your forte.

Communication has very little to do with proper syntax. I'm
not writing a masterwork, I'm asking questions. If you don't
like that, i suggest you PiSs OFf BiTcH.

Easy gentlemen, easy..

To clear things out:

* I used Illustrator (vectors) to create these posters, and
just exported them for flickr.

* The textures I found on the internets, I just googled
"paper texture" on images, there are many to choose from,
and they vary in resolution. Don't really know if they would
be enough for printing and how it would look, I would prolly
skip the texture if actually printing them, I think. I can
post some links to the ones I used, when I'm home again (at
work now)..

Thanks for watching my stuff and commenting!

make a nice poster.

could be like a mm thicker, as it currently looks like a
skinny man is holding the shotgun.)
