I can just use it as a plug-in effect for guitar?

Well you can record your guitar - maybe chords maybe some
plucking.

Then open Ambient and work on your settings to get great FX,
make pads or weird extensions to your original sound.

Press record in the Ambient GUI and it will save a new sound
file of the processed material. You can then export this
into your DAW or whatever you want!
