I find Moat's story more compelling. The mind boggles at the
thought of a tired and emotional Gazza turning up to the
scene of the stand off, offering to act as intermediary with
a can of lager and a dressing gown.

aye, that did blow me away abit, gazza 'i knew him from when
i was boy at newcastle, he was one of the bouncers, he was a
gentleman' just think moat shoulda gone a bit more postal on
the whole show and actually gone for the death by cop
approach, if he wanted to fuck em around a bit coulda caused
a whole load of hassle for em if he'd got it to the point
that they shot him.
