I recently acquired 2 tapes from Further Records, kind of a special feeling attached to this oldschool medium - also, it is actually rip-able and possible digitalize. |

For certain kinds of music, it is still a great format. Apparently it's big with the hipsters now, but I certainly didn't choose the format because of that. I listened to tapes pretty much exclusively until I was about 19 and still have lots of dodgy pirate tapes from our local rave stations (rip wacky fm!) Hiss, stretching, L/R fallout... it's all part of the charm! |
