I am very excited by this new project, like many people I
find airports fascinating, true works of art, poetry,
architecture, philosophy, hope, cinematic in presentation,
epic in scope. The wild oscillations in scale, from lounge
after lounge of empty departure areas receeding into the
vanishing point to a tiny postage stamp sized bag of salted
nuts. Life on pause, waiting, outside of national boundries,
free yet highly controlled, arrivals and departures, life
and death, codes of conduct, glam, utopia and purgatory.
Business lounge, executive breakfast, interntaional
newspapers, closeted after passing security control, duty
free perfume, vodka and toblerones. I've downloaded the clip
of "Business Car Park 9" to play on loop, a majestic theme
for an in-flight film on some top Euro executive hotel. I
can't wait to test out the full album when I next stumble on
some ill judged, vainglorious global lurch.

that's awesome. just out of curiosity, is there any reason
why the vinyl is limited to such an irregular number? i
guessed it'd be some numerology to do with the album, but i
wouldn't have a clue. also i think it's pretty cool that you
guys actually engage with your listeners

How about a sequel; Music for real Shopping Centres (as
appose to fake or plastic ones), paradoxically containing no
music and the sound of a shopping centre? You could then ask
a shopping centre if they will play it over the sound of
everyone else shopping as you listen to it on your mp3
player.

do my own airport album, featuring 74 minutes of silence. It
will be epic.

this is the kind of stuff that needs to be listened entire
each time anyway. im playing the ep mostly because it's
shorter, but the way it is done makes it longer. there
should be more stuff like this
