When i start Puredata i get a message that sais that the device "WaveOutOpen" is busy and that i should wait until it's not....
same thing with the device "WaveInOpen".....
can anyone tell me how to fix this...

I'm not familiar with the software 'Puredata' but have you tried removing it, then reinstalling - maybe that'd help!

there isn't a installation sequence.... the files are just unpacked from a zip file......

do you have any other sound-related programs running in background?! 'cause it seems that you're soundcard(chip) is half-duplex....

You might have fried your soundcard.
Can you play with any other sound programs?
How well do you know puredata? I was taking a stab at learning it a while back, and it looked pretty dope, but I kinda lost track. Want to start again soon.
