When it gets spammed for the 10th time I'll download it as a
reward for sheer persistence.

i just read all these dumb ass posts about 8bit music, and
it seems like people are always complaining about the poor
quality of releases.

offline PAW from STL (United States) on 2010-01-30 13:57 [#02363130]

i know the path of least resistance is to settle for 8bp
because they are well established. but the informed artist
would know and take into consideration that that particular
label is virtually a vehichle used to sell lsdj to dumb
people. I have heard the aritsts on there and in my opinion
i prefer to listen to 8bit music that is actually music, and
not just a bunch of stupid gimmick bullshit.

So you're saying this release is better than anything I'll
find on 8-bit peoples?

offline PAW from STL (United States) on 2010-01-30 14:06 [#02363134]

track two by MHF "more barman, more" is better than alot of
the shit on rephelx little alone 8bp. plus my tracks on that
split ep are hands down better than any of the release done
by 8bp.

its called bass and beats and 8bp don't know shit about
either. basically i make 8bit music and others make 8bit
noises

if yann posts his 8bit track again.

fuck you. your music is hands down not chiptune/8bit music,
you're obviously using a simple waveform synth, probably a
vst, not even a real SID chip or anything even remotely
close. Sounds like you just used a sample for an oscillator.
and you use drums that are way too clean to be 8bit. you
suck

sorry the spit ep is in a zip file, still it would be worth
it to download and hear track "more barman more" by MHF
alone.
i'd compare it to a cross between cylod, plaid, and goto80

oh look it's pawel. the world's least charming, most
conflicted internet persona - back again to broadly slander
and beg for approval in the same breath. hopefully you'll
get perma-banned again soon you guileless knob rocket.

before.

recognition he so obviously deserves.

a few years ago when thousands of you tards thought you were
getting the analord tracks ahead of release time, my music
passed as rdj's for months. goto betamod and download my
first two albums (aka afx's leaked analords)

first of all:

first track is missing from the .zip file. two tracks are
labeled as track 4.

there's a second folder with 4 .1kb mp3 files called
_MACOSX.

as for the music:

this is not real 8-bit. it's not even good fakebit. there's
no emotion or feeling in it. it's just '8-bit' for the sake
of '8-bit'. there's almost no production value. that's fine
if you're using actual hardware, but when you're doing
everything in a DAW, there's no excuse for it to sound like
this.

8bitpeoples is not a solely LSDJ label. for example, my
release is about 98% reason 3.0. there have been other
releases done with MidiNES (x|K, Mr. Spastic), FM/OPL3 (Alex
Mauer, Commie64), Famitracker / MML (Rushjet1), C64/SID
(Paza, Coleco Music), music that is not made solely with
8bit hardware (me, Psilodump, Yuppster, I,Cactus,
Binaerpilot) and tons more i'm sure that i don't know
anything about.

here's a list of free music programs you can check out

Milky Tracker
Goat Tracker
Famitracker
Adlib Tracker II (you will need to run in dos-box, unless
you have a SB16 or other OPL3 soundchip)
NerdTracker
ScreamTracker (same requirements as adlib, but supports i
believe 12 channels of samples and 9 channels of FM
synthesis)

vsts you could check out
Peach / Toad from tweakbench (the obvious ones)
Magical 8bit Plugin from YMCK
MedusaBit
Chipsounds from plogue (not free but definitely worth it)
NES VST (new i guess) download

bottom line: work on your attitude or your music, because
one of them has to change.

roygbivcore i can't speak for MHF but my trackas were made
using mainly a japanese nes catridge which is a music
sequecner. so seeing as how my music is made using actual
nes synthesis it is therefor better than the stupid gameboy
shit you listen to moron

oh i didnt realize your music was great because you used a
music editor inside of a cartridge. i thought it was poorly
written and arranged but you definitely proved me wrong
because it's from a rom you downloaded.

my bad.

Go wank over your shitty music in private, nobody here is
interested.

Comparing your music to Plaid (who are shit these days
anyway) is a joke.

Who the fuck are you anyway? Besides a dickless cry-baby?

Best wishes for the future,
Bob. x
