I don't give a fuck about new technology. It's just a larger iPod toch anyways. Steve Jobs' days are numbered.

...no usb port, no multitasking ... , I can only expect that sharing content between two of them via wi-fi has got heavy restrictions also. You got to hand it to Jobs, he knows how to market average technology, restrict it's full potential and sell it as cutting edge.

i think it will be a bigger success than people realise, it will completely replace laptops used by casual users, with each incarnation getting thinner and better. The current incarnation isn't perfect but I think the aggressive pricing makes up for that at the moment. Is is only 1st gen afterall.

it has years old technology. it being 1st gen is hardly an excuse. it's as if people are expected to keep buying the next apple product if you want the features that have been available on other devices for ages.
500 bucks for a device that lacks a number of essential features by todays standards is inexcusable.

we're not talking next generation here. we're talking about this particular product, right now in 2010.
i'm not convinced. but that may just be me.

considering the equivalent you could buy for the money its a joke, but do you really think that will put people off? this is a lifestyle product first, and a technology product second.

its lacking too many things at the moment, in a few years it will be an excellent device but not right now, shame because like you say, the technology is already here.

"...but let's make no mistake, for many people buying a Mac and other Apple products like the iPod is more about fashion than functionality. You could often if not always get devices with absolutely comparable capabilities (or even superior functionality) for less money than the one with the Apple logo on it."
