Any fans on the board? I'm falling in love with this label,
home to Belbury Pond, The Advisory Circle, The Focus Group
and Roj. The labels offering of melodic, analog electronic
music seasoned with 70s television and radio samples and
accompanying cover art, all in the style of 20th century
library music, is imaginative, nostalgic, progressive and
utterly delightful. Love it to bits!

Yeah Belbury's stuff is pretty amazing, it's like a sinister
version of plone. The Advisory Circle's latest album is
also really good.

Yep, the music reminds me of plone, pram, boc, broadcast and
some piano magic

Their online store - the Greedbox - is one of the best I've
seen. Mp3s and Flacs are offered at the same price, and when
you've bought a record you can log back in to your account
and re-download it infinitely.

Are you sure about being able to redownload albums for free?
I've logged into my account and can't seem to figure out how
to do it.

The music is great too. Roj's album is one of the best of
'09 in my opinion.

Haha! Oh wow! If a picture is generally accepted as painting

Box for that brave act.

any releases which would be a good starting point?

Also: Snazzy lightshade and curtains, Dan.

the Ghost Box website - seems quite nice!

There's a free 3 track ep on the website in exchange
for your email

All the acts are good, some darker than others, some
funkier. I think a good balance and introduction would be

The Advisory Circle - Other Channels
The Advisory Circle - Mind How You Go

I like Belbury to for "The Owl's Map" or The Focus Group's
"We're all Pan's ¨People"

IMO

one. Also you were correct; you can, indeed, re-download
albums you've bought from them at any time. I love Ghostbox.

Please recommend me Belbury Poly albums. I can only afford
to get one along with the Advisory Circle vinyl; which
should it be? I prefer physical distribution to digital, but
will still consider an album even if the hard copies are
sold out. Thanks.

"We also have news of the next Belbury Youth Club Night. Its
to be held at Vivid in Birmingham on Sunday 28th March as
part of the Flatpack festival, 5pm til late. We'll be
showing a mixed program of public information films, haunted
old TV programmes, and a new version of Julian House's short
film Winter Sun Wavelength with a new soundtrack by the
Focus Group and Belbury Poly. There'll be a live performance
from our special guest Moon Wiring Club, an exhibition of
some of Julian House's artwork and music from the Ghost Box
DJs."

I might go. Anyone else?
