absinth is to be used wisely. it's strong stuff. Always add some water... even if someone already add water. Better let the stuff workin slowly.

kalaim badkaama::. yes I have been drinking many shots of it lately, it is VERY strong..... 75% alcohol not to mention the weird shit they put in it that makes you feel way more drunk and all fuzzy and somewhat halucenogenic... somewhat..... whenever you buy some you get an extra thing of water on the side to add, also adding cinnamon helps to take away from the taste of burning!... unless you enjoy it.. which its ok.

"Real" absinthe is illegal in the USA. There are a couple of companies trying to ride the bandwagon and sell absinthe-like drinks.
It's wicked stuff! I had it once and that was enough.

the real stuff aint cheap. So you'll have to find a pretty clued up place to get 'good' absinth. YOu can get Czech and French stuff. The Czech stuff is a bit cheaper. But personally I would say go for the French.

Apparently a lot of poets used to drink it for it's somewhat hallucinogenic properties. I think coleridge might have been in to it, and some of the beat poets.

Absynth is fermented wormwood, which is a poison. It has Halucinogenic properties, and has been known for driving quite a few painters and poets and such insaine due to alchoholism.
It is legal to buy both the real (absynth) and the synthetic (absent) in canada. Altho the real shit is like, $90-$100+ per bottle.

Yes, notice how many of van goghs pictures are of cafés and such. its because its there he got the shit.
i´ve stopped drinking alcohol completely a while ago. after 3 years of drinking, i thought to myself "what is it good for"?
do i need alchohol to be braver? no. that would be the only plus side of drinking it.
you loose money, you become stupid. whats the point? fuck that shit. but do it for all i care, i´m just saying i´ve gotten sick of drunk people, and the way alcohol is a huge factor in our culture.
