Today in school, I was listening to Tri Repetae... anyways,
it was really cool cause I found that sounds from the school
would kind of become part of the music if you know what I
mean... for instance, this janitor was vacuuming and I
could've sworn it was from the cd, and I even paused my
player to see... it was cool... and it was like it all
day... I heard this guy whistling, and it sounded perfect
with the song... very inspiring actually, giving me some
good ideas...

I notice that occaisionally listening to aphex on the subway
-- with all the electromechanical noise going on outside.

Its true what Ae said on the Tri Rep disk: "Incomplete
without surface noise". Noises in everday life somehow
weave in and out of their work. It freaks me out. I get
frightened. Mom.

I get the opposite effect, where the panning in their music
makes me think a noise might be coming from the environment
but when I pause it stops.
