i know its not even 2010 yet,
but the thought of last aphex proper album
being already 10 years old (in 2011)
brought me a weird nostalgic feeling...

yeah I'm not really into aphex' stuff..I prefer venetian
snares and he releases a lot to keep me satisfied :-)

I do want some new exciting stuff from plaid..boc or even
aphex though!

thanks lord for this album anyway!
happy 8,50 years!

could you list electronic albums youve fully enjoyed since
then?

for me,
last exploding plastix and bogdan's were pretty amazing
and still listen to them in regular basis...

Even though It perturbs me when people diss it, and though I
thought it was the best thing ever when it came out, I'm
more jaded towards it now then anything else :(

i remember that japanese (?) interview where RDJ was caught
off-guard by a string of exceptionally well-crafted
questions. his tone got more and more serious as the
interview progressed, and i remember a quote about drukqs:
"i sweated for years making that album."

i hate the myth of it being culled from his hard drive and
randomly sequenced. it is a very fine piece of art as a
whole, and definitely misunderstood by the majority of
reviewers.

its still such a phenomenal listening experience. it's
unparalleled. things still grab me and i'll notice things
etc and ive had it since november 2001.

disappointing and uneven at the time, near 10 years hasn't
changed it. RDJ, CTD singles and windowlicker all had much
more interesting material imo.

hearing the reworked melthphace in his lives sets really
sets me off

somewhere around 2006 vordhosbn took a back seat and melt
grabbed hold of the reigns

still leading the pack imho
