creativity is at a high, the past two weeks have produced two new
works. "mnemonic perception" and "hegemon fibre"
now online and ready to test your ears...
mnemonic perception www.mp3.com.au/hepburnenthorpe/mnemonicperception
hegemon fibre www.mp3.com.au/hepburnenthorpe/hegemonfibre
thoughts? feedback allways welcome.
also introducing "NIBK ZAQMELD" my latest project. focusing on the very experimental side of things, this IS some pretty fucked up shit. its
all created live, and is not easy listening. but, if your into the
experimental stuff, its well worth a listen.
seven new traks available online. if you cant get em all, i would
recomend "why tech must die" as a good starting point. the seven
traks are all in a series, and if you play all one after the other
they will join to form one.
visit www.mp3.com.au/nibkzaqmeld
anyway peeps, thats about all for now. enjoy!
and thanks for your support,
thorpe

mnemonic is really vibrating the old parietal lobes. The very beginning was really good, it's weird that it starts to seem repetitive even though it's not ... maybe because it's the same chaotic environment that stays fairly homogeneous throughout without changing a lot... This has a drukqs feel. Maybe it got a bit trackery, but it was impressive. good job or something. *gives high five to self* *fondles a tree* *throws raisins at a mickey mouse maskot*

i guess thats another thankyou. well thanks for checking it out anyway. i am starting to have a bit of trouble with repetiveness, ever changing stuff is just so time consuming to create, i meen thats what i want to do, but fuck...i worked on that trak for about 10 days straight. i will be remixing and adding more variations [as i allways do] and probably release another version over the next few months.
its just good to get some feedback on things in the early stages.
thanks, thorpe

mnemonicperception has a nice sound that reminds me of drukqs, so why haven't you called?

i feel you brother - i am moving away from repetitivity, but, because i have VERY shit RAM, a shit computer, and limited resources to spend on software/hardware, loops are the easy way out ;~0 - saying that, i have nailed fruityloops/cool edit combine to put a halt to that -- so perservere! :)
bTw, do you really go back to old works or something and redo them or touch them up? once i have finished a track, that's it - my only interractivity after that is to listen to it.

i was actually going for a feel simular to "VORDHOSBN" with "mnemonic perception" and am quite pleased with the result.
and yeah, Marlowe, i often go back over traks. im usually bored with them after a few days of originally working on them, so its good to go back when the trak is all fresh again. know what i mean? you dont wanna rush these things. i usually release stuff onto the net fairly early, get a few opinoins, maybe a review. listen to them on heaps of friends stereos, then go back and completely remix them, adding a few xtra touches.
