Any of the few Americanites go? Just curious...
It was good. I was glad they played separately, I prefer Hecker's stuff alone over the collab they did.
He opened with a song from the collab, then played mostly stuff from Harmony in Ultraviolet and the newest, An Imaginary Country. Wish he played a bit longer, he eased out a song, closed his laptop and walked through the side of the crowd to the bar. Pretty funny.
Best aspect was I didn't have to take a 3 hour bus ride to see him in NYC, it was a 10 minute walk from my house. Shook the dudes hand and thanked him for the show. One of my favorites dudes....

Yea I went to it. I thought both sets were good. Hecker's was really amazing tho, even if it was a tad short. I liked the club too.
My friend talked to him a little bit afterword. I was going to make a Hecker joke about him not playing with AFX that night but said nah and drank my beer. He seemed like a nice guy tho hearing him talk to people and what not.

Ha cool! I love both Hecker's, not a fan of Maximillian though. I'd prob kill to see Florian Hecker, because of the rarity and just mindblowing aspect of whatever the hell he's doing to create his music.
Merzbow was supposed to play at that bar earlier in the year, maybe April, I don't remember exactly. He cancelled his stuff in the US due to fear of swine flu. So beat....
You think Tim Hecker might have been a little pissed the way he finished his set? I hear when that bar has shows on the weekend they always have to be done in time for some hipster dance party at 10 w/ DJ's
