yamaha hs80m monitors
sennheiser hd 280 phones
tascam us428 mixer

that is all on the music making end tho. i actually do have
an aiwa mini shelf that my entertainment system is run
through with the little satellite speakers mounted in back
for surround (lol). i'm not going to put a lot of money
into high end components because i can just play music on
the monitors if i want it to sound really nice.

for just tv, xbox and even sometimes music the mini shelf is
good enough.

Im an audiophile on a budget, which I guess is good because
ive seen some audiophiles who waste loads of money on
equipment thet dont need.

Ive got a NAD C352 with Matching NAD Cd player paired with a
set of older B&W DM 604 Speakers in my living room.

I also have a Yaqin YTA-24 T-Amp matched with a Fubar USB
DAC and some Axiom bookshelf speakers which is set up with
my laptop. The Yaqin YTA-24 is probably one of the best
bang for a buck purchases ive made, it pumps out super clean
sound and its tiny.

apextins,
How much did you pay for your Yaqin YTA-24 amp??
I used to have a Trends but it died after I accidentally
shorted the speaker inputs. I saw one of those YTA-24 's on
the New York CL about 2 months ago for like $180 but I didnt
have any money at the time. argg it seems the YTA-24 is no
longer listed on Yaqin's website. Do they still make them??

I've been trying to sell my Linn system for months now.
Finding it annoying that the only interest I get is from
indians who come over, and spend an hour on my sofa
listening to crappy Lion King music, and then offer half of
my best price..

But i recently bought a mint pair of KEF reference model 3's
from some syrian politician. They're perfect and i
frequently blast them to let my neighbors know how I'm
feeling today (sometimes facing them towards my open
windows).

apart from that got hd800s + valhalla pubes schiit.

I recommend Schiits for anyone looking for an affordable
headphone amp.

Those KEFs are nice.

I use either a Denon PMA720 or a Quad 77 to power a pair of
KEF 104a's. I also have some harbeth hl mk 2's which are
currently serving as rather expensive plinths for other
equipment to sit on.

offline dave_g from United Kingdom on 2013-03-25 20:32 [#02452631]

I have been promised some KEF reference speakers when I have
space for them which is rather splendid.

I was once told that most people use their stereo to listen
to music and audiophiles use their music to listen to their
stereo.
