One thing I learned from 'singularity' ish shit is that
evolution gave humans powerful high level
intuition/perception just based on how other humans look.
Singularity people tend to look weird, like basement
dwellers who've spend the majority of their life playing
dungeons and dragons and pokemon. And it is closer to
religion than science. Their 'belief' (hence the religion)
is apparent when they make claims worded as 'such and such
will happen in the future' while the future is mostly
unpredictable.
The singularity people are mostly technology fanboys trying
to stamp memes on the internet for profit. Yeah technology
is 'evolving' (non genetically obviously) but singularity
fags won't likely be big players in anything other than
their religion.
This is interesting:

yeah overall this was pretty putrid, but they have some
interesting ideas buried in there, especially the part about
the brain cells and how they eat things. and how brain cells
can be kept alive in petrey dishes and be used to fly a
video game plane.

lots of fun, but the part about nanomachines devouring the
earth is something that's not worth investing any further.
