What do you want to see on the video? I patched up an LC filter circuit today but I couldn't make an amplifier, so it was dead quiet. It worked though. Switched from low pass to high pass by swapping the inductors and capacitors. I need to get more experience with building circuits before making any tracks. At the moment the only decent audio I can output is straight from the signal generator to the speaker. Time to spend a few weeks with electronics books to get familiar with all the concepts. Hehe, when I get into opamps properly it's going to kick ass for sure. Pics from someone's blog: There's a digital lab on ebay now, really too expensive though. I think it would be relatively simple to make our own equipment like this. At least we would learn more by DIY. |

Look up a common emitter amplifier. You can make one of them with a single transistor. You should be able to rig up some simple oscillators with that thing, no problem. You can do some signal shaping circuits, and you could make a couple of different distortion effects using clipped diode feedback and the like. Just remember, just because it resembles a synth, doesn't make it one. You are also severely limited as there are hardly any active devices. You might have enough bits to make a variable, saw/triangle, square/pulse oscillator if you use the PUT (which are pretty much obsolete technology now). In fact, I suggest you search for programmable unijunction transistor oscillator circuits... have fun. Also, I suggest you buy Horrowitz and Hill - Art of Electronics, can't go wrong with that book.
