Did anyone else see a large orange ball of fire moving north last night? it was fairly big and moved at a very quick rate across the sky. I thought it was a plane on fire, but there has been nothing on the news. I noticed this over northampton at 10.30pm last night |

this object was the size of a 747 plane but imagine it being a big orange glow .. i think the space station would appear smaller in the sky, even if it was all lit up with orange lights |

i watched it go across the sky for about 20 seconds then it was out of range, it was moving about twice as fast as a normal plane i reckon, so it was over 1000mph |

I'm sure it didnt go out, it might not of been fire, but it was glowing really bright! i am confused when i saw it, i watched it for a few seconds then went back inside my house and stood in the dark hallway scared, then i peaked out of the window and it was still moving, then i watched it again from the front door and watched it move into the distance and out of view. When a human being see something they don't understand or are familiar with it causes fear and confusion. and this is what happned for a few seconds |

Ok well.Coventry is about thirty miles away from us isnt it but more northwards.At ten thirty last night there was a fire/could have been an explosion (reports are unconfirmed) at some flats in Peel Street in Cov.Thats our side of Cov.Just the other side of Rugby. Im not saying it was that larn,im just saying. |

It largely depends on the age group,I think by searching specifically for basic resources to explain quantum theory you have to sift through a lot of religious stuff. Have you heard about 'What the bleep do we know?'That answers a few questions and is free online to watch or download.Also theres a childrens film called the Last Mimsy which is also supposed to look at theoretical physics although Ive never seen it... |

the space station is in low orbit, but i'm sure this object was not in orbit it was between 30,000ft - 40,000ft if you imagine looking at the moon 10x smaller in size, that was how big it was, kind of oval, dark orangey red in color, it had a strange kind of look about it which i am finding hard to describe. it moved with purpose in one direction at fast rate, it was moving north. it was indeed a UFO as this object had no blinking lights, i guess i am lucky to see it. but ever since yesterday i have felt strange and unsettled about it. i have spent all night researching into orange ufos |

I saw it larn. I was outside having a ciggie with my girlfiend and we saw it passing overrhead. Exactly the way you described it, a sort of orange ball. Initially I thought it was a plane with an engine on fire. Odd indeed but I didn't think too much of it as we have a lot of air traffic overhead anyway. btw I'm in Liverpool |

i once walked for miles round Luton trying to work out what these strange moving formations of glowing round lights in the sky were. several passers by were convinced it was "the aliens". one old dog walker that we asked said "i don't know... maybe some kind of flock of electrical birds..?" we all laughed in his face and he looked a little confused and offended as if electrical birds lighting up the sky were a reasonable suggestion. the actual explanation was a bit boring. it was Tina Turner live at Knebworth. |
