in your opinion,

what is the hardest game out there?

i still can't decide whether mine is metroid, flashback, or
out of this world.

i can't get past the second level in flashback
and
out of this world.

i guess the makers have an inside joke with second levels.

Reflex... damn right, 12 years later and I STILL can't
fucking beat Battletoads. Tough shit.

All the Contras are tough as nails... and the early
Castlevanias are expert-only. The newer ones are simple.

How do I get Mario's hat back!? That should be a game,

Be quick, it CAN be done. He's a little bastard.

definitely Dracule: Symphony of the Night for PS.....you had
to beat the castle with 4 different endings, when you beat
it with the right ending you have to beat the Inverted
Castle all over again with harder oppenents

Hands down...
Robocop vs. Terminator for Sega Genesis...It took 45 minutes
to beat the last guy...WITH CODES

offline Ophecks from Nova Scotia (Canada) on 2002-04-03 17:20 [#00156473]
Points: 19190 Status: Moderator | Show recordbag

No way, Symphony of the Night is pathetically easy,
especially compared to the earlier Castlevanias. My 7 year
old cousin can beat Symphony, it's a damn cakewalk. The
early ones are for pros only.

And I agree, MO2. Robocop VS Terminator is hard shit!!!

Terminator for genesis was way more difficult than robocop
vs terminator.

i could whoop up on battletoads any day. contra was always a
bitch. i think the hardest was metal gear for the nes. i'd
get killed as soon as i walked 20 ft. i didn't know about
the whole stealth tactics.

hey, could you ever win duckhunt, or were you just supposed
to shoot damn ducks for hours on end?

For Duckhunt, I used to stand RIGHT by the TV and actually
TOUCH the ducks with the Zapper. I couldn't miss, I was so
close. Muhahahhahaha!!!

terminator 2 for the super nintendo
metal gear for the 8 bit nintendo
rygar for the 8 bit nintendo (i actually beat rygar but i
had to keep my nintendo on for almost 3 straight days; game
had no pass-keys or saves.

I have 'people' to complete games for me......friends and
cousins! And if all else fails...I get the cheats of the
net!

A lot of people will say that using the cheats is a waste -
but if you are stuck on a certain part of a game, or you
just can't do it, then you've wasted your money anyway -
this way (using the cheats) you can continue the adventure!!

offline Ophecks from Nova Scotia (Canada) on 2002-04-03 18:25 [#00156536]
Points: 19190 Status: Moderator | Show recordbag

Rygar is VERY hard... I used to be pushed to near tears
trying to beat that game when I was about 8.

I cheat alot, but there's really no need to nowadays...
games are DESIGNED to be easy!!! Because they're all
flash... they WANT you to see the whole game.

NES games were hard as fuck... it wasn't about the graphics.

does anyone remember the game Narc, i think it was for
Genesis.....that game was pretty wicked.....driving around
(or rather scrolling) shooting up drug lords with shotguns

i'll use cheats on games i rent or games i've already
beaten.

There's some super hard games, almost impossible to beat,
but that's due to their flawed creation... like this
retarded game called castlequest which I think was for
NES... but there are fun games which are hard and my
favorite type... getting the invincible cheat on the 2nd
level of goldeneye (N64)... battletoads (not the ragnoks
world version) for gameboy had you beating it with like 1
life left if you ever did... the stupid bird in the desert
probably has mario's hat... mega man NES games had some hard
Wiley levels but havn't played them in awhile so they might
be easy now... Doom2 was the perfect game difficulty wise,
you could pick your own difficulty, I got to the point where
ultra violence was possible to beat... the maximum levels
were the best though.

on goldeneye are you talking about that level where you have
to blow the chemical tanks and get out in like under 30
minutes to get the cheat? I agree that was frickin' hard i
had to watch a video on the internet of somebody doing it to
even believe it was possible. i eventually did it after
hours of restarting the level.
also, that level where you have to protect that chick while
all those guys are coming in trying to shoot her. that shit
was haaard.

Seriously...try playing "Silver Surfer" for the 8-bit
Nintendo system. There is no way you are beating that
straight up with no codes. It's idiotically impossible.

Yup... Ninja Turtles 1 was fucking impossible. Considering
it was made for little kids, that's just idiotic.

And Silver Surfer is a bitch... that one made me throw my
controller across the room a lot.

i think NES games were so hard because they weren't as much
as games today are for gliches.
games today, go through months of testing and analyzing.
