i've cut samples of my area's hymn performed by the local
band and i placed horns and children choirs upon the
idioteque loop off the default reason beat pack

hi cwnt
i think i started making tunes by using the soundtest screen
in streets of rage. i would activate the sound effects in a
rhythm and record it to tape.
i really started making tunes with 'music' on the psx

first tracks were cut-up tv ads using a vhs tape of ads
(which i rewound lots of times to make loops), and a shoebox
audio tape recorder.

i didn't know male-to-male audio cables existed, so i made
one using a small 1970s mic shoved inside an old toilet
roll, and a pair of cheap earphones shoved in the other end,
soundproofed with toilet paper stuffed in both ends.

i was about 8 or 9

the VERY first track I made was probably using a toy
keyboard with my cousin playing garbage bin drums. we held a
concert and it was quite amazing.

the band was called "Oh Boy".

kind of lost the stuff when i was clearing out junk from my
room 2 or 3 years ago. i accidentally threw the cd that had
them, they weren't any good though but still a shame.
