Naw. I've been watching some Miyazaki movies though. Me an the missus loved Spirited Away. I watched Princess Monoidmonkey and didn't like it as much. Saw the first minutes of Kiki and am saving the rest for the missus. |

Spirited Away was cute and enjoyable. Totoro is cute and i enjoyed Nausicaa (the manga). I wanna watch or read My Neighbours the Yamadas. |

yeah. I hated billy bob thornton in that movie. Actually, I just hate him in general. The forest spirit I liked. I thought its face was intended to serve as a reminder that humans are inextricably linked to nature. But it did look sort of goofy. In comparison to other miyazaki films I think mononoke has a sort of workman-like quality, like he hadn't quite figured out how to make the characters feel believable, and perhaps the voice actors would have benefited from better direction. |
