Ages 29 - dead.

how are you still functioning correctly in society? how are
you still sane?

Why am i only 20 and feel as though the grim reaper is
lurking around every corner?

You assume a lot. I'm a decrepit worm, and this life has put
me in souldebt. I need to flee to the forest and feast on
unicorn blood.

I am 28, I used to be scared of death everyone on this
planet has the same neurosis in that respect, but as you age
it gets easier to accept. My granddad died at 91, I went to
see him in scotland 2 weeks before he died, he knew he was
dying and he just kind of laughed it off and made jokes
about it.

I couldn't really understand how a man could laugh in the
face of death, but i guess there is something we don't know
about being that old, i think you see life very differently
and your acceptance is far greater than that of a 20 year
old.

When you get older you realize that your own death is easier
to accept than the death of people you love.

i know this thread might of expired, but i thought it was
worth saying my piece

larn out...

socialism
capitalism
communism
globalisation
religion
nationalism

on star trek they have the federation.
there is never any talk of problems on earth, its always
intergalactic, we assume they're sorted by then. except even
with all that development they are all still bungling along
fighting. but here now, the people in charge decreeing these
rules cannot even agree among themselves. china. usa. india.
europe. anyone. is there hope of species
improvement/evolution/assimilation/colonisation or are we
just monkeys getting drunk and screwing and farting. one or
the other! anything in between may suffice you for a
lifetime but its ultimately a compromise, where are you
aiming?

fair enough, i sway from striving for utopia to realising
that is idealistic and few others are on board to help
to scratching my nuts and grimmacing and bonking/crapping
instead for a while, till that seems so pointless and bleak
that i sway back again and then hopefully die contributing
or creating something at least

They might not show it in the documentaries but in Star Trek
they still scratch their balls, fart and bonk. I don't know
if they drink or if they have some healthy synth-narco
alternative replicated from William Gibson's nut sack. In
fact I'd posit that the true nature of the Enterprise's
mission was to boldy seek out bigger nuts to scratch in more
satisfying ways, to have sex with aliens and to fart into
black holes.
