Out of curiosity, who are the mods?

Browse members filter system doesn't help me and I think the
FAQ is a little out of date.

I think Ophecks is still one but it doesn't do much good
because he's almost never hear and usually keeps to the
video game threads when he is.

you know, the thing with shitters is, they are actually
useful. and also, to some extent the content of a shitter
might be useful as well. i don't know whether this can be
said about this place, though. ...not that it matters.

Can we fertalize things with XLT shit?
Certainly one to think about. The answer may be in there if
we dig deep enough.

The last time I was going to get on a long haul flight I
really wanted a good book and I always enjoy Iain (M) Banks
even when he's annoying and just shoehorning odd little
ideas into the story and I wanted his latest science fiction
(especially The Culture ones) one as I generally prefer them
over his fiction..err.. fiction ones and I asked the girl at
the till, after I'd searched thoroughly the shelves, I'm not
lazy, I asked he if they had the last Iain M Banks science
fiction novel, I wasn't sure of the name but I was sure he'd
had one out recently and she said "Matter?" just like that
and I had such an urge to strike an android poise and reply
in a grave, portentuous voice "Matter". But I didn't I just
said "yeah" and she said "No, but we've got The Steep
Approach to Garbadale" which turned out to be the least
satisfying Banks read Ive ever had and I liked The Business.

i'm unsure on my comment against spamming.
mixes are good\tracks should tried out first and if shit,
say less than 20 decent comments from different accounts
then they should be swiftly deleted

That'll take a fair bit of organisation in comparision to
just: "There's some spam, I'm binning it... there's the
culprit, he's done this all week, I'm banning it."

I don't mind the music spam. It's like most things in life.
Put up with enough shit and you get the goods. You just get
smelly.

offline christ deburger from helmans pr0vince (Afghanistan) on 2009-08-13 16:28 [#02315013]

i know, your right but people should just be honest with
themselves and really only put it up if they really think
its decent. its way too much too ask for i know, i had to
say something..
my advice to music makers is instead of taking a few hours
to make a track...spend a few months and make something
better not just for you but for everyone else thats got to
gamble on clicking the link thats been shoved in our faces

But we don't even know what this site is about, so what's
supposed to be moderated? Its pretty much a nonsense forum,
so is all non-non-sense supposed to be b7'd
(preferably in super hitler censor permanent ban style,
following the examples of ebay and google). Or should all
discussion be related to depixelated bears or something? We
used to have a subject, music, but then aphex twin decided
to troll us by having his albums entirely composed of his
relatives singing songs.

yeah i do that, i post a new track about once every 3 months
cus i spend a long time writing them, I value the opinions
and remarks left and i find that this is the best place to
get feedback. But i like listening to all spams, even the
ones that evidently took little time to write

People need a place to share and discus their music, for me
it's a big part of the experience of posting in here. I
believe this forum was designed for fans of electronic music
who like to discuss relating topics, for artists to share
ideas and for general chat amongst like minded people. (that
is posting about pooping in the shower)

Personaly i like how things are, i don't care if a troll is
making a mess and trying to wind you up.

People are not always going to be dymanic and funny, so i
accept the dull and boring posts just the same as any other

XLTians perpetuate the self fulfilling prophecy by
constantly repeating "This place used to be better" "When is
it going to close". Will our sub conscious actualize the
board's minor decent or will we continue to be ?

i think maybe instead of just complaining all you babys just
take some advice from the greatest artist of our time
michael jackson

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
(If you wanna make the world a better place)
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change
(Take a look at yourself, and then make a change)
(Na na na, na na na, na na, na nah)
