I like the "fun" musics.

This guy has consistently been better than Richard D James.

he's always good, whatever he does... The only thing is that
he does everything so neatly, it might not have the "genius"
image some he might think he deserves...

"De-Pimp Aact" is quite something.

RDJ tracks aren't 80% samples.

meaning you cannot be creative using samples?

Yes you can but you can't compare to RDJ latest works which
are very synth orientated.

song.

againt the iniquities of the West.

hi im luke vibert
i make boring tracks but dont worry, i put a lot of boring
samples on them
check it out!

I've listened to this a couple of times and it just makes me
embarrassed, I want to switch it off if anyone else comes in
the room. I don't doubt Vibert is a gifted musician, I know
he's a A Nice Guy, but I have to admit defeat and accept I
don't like his music. It also sounds like it could have come
off Big Soup or any of his other albums. Some good little
bits relentlessly waylaid by wacky farty bits. It's like the
electronic music equivalent of The Goon Show. Maybe I'm
missing part of my brain that would enjoy this. I can't
imagine listening to it at home, in a club, having covert
sex with a milf or out jogging. A polished solid? A polished
something.

it is 100% how you'd expect it to sound and despite being
quite diverse with his styles, you can always seem to tell a
luke vibert album from a mile away...

i love the title track and it's not a bad album, but i do
agree that i kinda got a bit bored listening to it before
the end, as i do with most albums on planet mu for that
matter.

i wonder if the tracks are new, or from the archive? maybe
they're old tracks, reworked into new tracks!

Its a fun album, nothing new or groundbreaking stuff, but
nonetheless its Luke Vibert at what he does best - making
lush, groovy and fun tracks. I think he should stick with
releasing EP's tho, his albums tend to get a bit long and
samey, and really hard to tell apart.

luke vibert made better music in the past than he does now

luke vibert does make some good music for my ears, but i've
always had a tad bit of a proplem listening to a whole album
of his. it tends to much of the same stuff though there are
always killer tunes on the albums, so i listen to more of
his ep's and single tracks of his longer albums, not to say
that i can't get through none of his lp's in one sitting...
just some
