sounds like you're more sensitive than the people you hang
out with. maybe they're just fucking each other around just
to show how tough they are. like a game which you'd loose
when you'd wuss out, or feel offended about some crap
someone else threw at you. i dunno. sounds like your new
circle could be a load of dicks as well

I fucking hate people like that.. You should take everything
they do with a pinch of salt and try and find yourself some
people who aren't knobs. Don't get it into your head that
everyone's like that though, they're not. There are some
lovely people about.
goDel, yes I'm greek, hope that helps explain the hairy
chest.
Marco, your language skills never cease to amaze me! :D

Ha! Sorry, I just made myself laugh (never very attractive)
saying that. One of my best friends is deeply racist but has
friends of all creeds and colours and I can never get my
moon shaped head round it. It troubles me and at the same
time I just think I can't be clever enough to be racist. I
don't know the history or the ethnic profiles. I worry if I
was in possession of the facts would I be racist. Ergo I am
racist scum. I am introverted, paranoid and wary of people,
mostly cx.

for once, i was NOT referring to your hairy chest and yet,
you turn it around at the first opportunity. why is that? i
suspect you have a thing for hairy chests now....

so anyway, are you going to teach us some greek yet, or
what?

haha, your friends not racist then, just pretends he is.
Also, don't give racists credit, they're ignorant fuck wits,
they're not clever. Their lack of intelligence is often
plays a large role in their beliefs.

I still see some of my old friends that used to do that
shit, and i get excited still when i see them and get to
talk, because with some people in life, you as a person grow
with them, so they understand you, but if it's more negative
then positive, i would say get thicken your skin before
making friends that you want to confide in. Becuase until
you don't give a crap about the stuff you posted in this
thread, will you ever have anybody that respects you enough
to cut that childish, talking about people behind their
backs, bullshit out .

my close friends are all pretty much people i've known since
school. i've hung out with people from work, my wife's
friends boyfriend/husband, and done things with new people,
but never really moved beyond acquaintance with any of them.
it just isn't the same comfort level, there is a lot more
performance socializing, if that makes sense.. a lot of
looking at a computer, a car or a grill and saying what you
know about it.. with people i've known all my life we have
all kinds of inside humor, can say random shit, or just have
a real open conversation like you would with a sibling or
something.

It's good to be a part of the XLTronic 'Dear Deidre' round
tables that take place on what appears to be a daily basis.

It's giving something back to the community.

i would have agreed in the past, but now i dont feel like
that at all.

we never see the other person: we only see our image of
them.

so if you go into a social setting without preconceptions,
its much easier to find a common ground.

perhaps much of the hostility arises from one person trying
to impress their ideals on another.
