It feeds their fantasy
that someday they too will be modestly famous for having a
beard and choosing a clever t shirt.


I want to 'rise' to this but I feel like it would endorse
the idea that I think there's something to get about this
cynical view. However I do know that you're balanced and
would in all likelihood make the same comment even with a
band you like.

The cult of the amateur is a deadly mind poison. What we
need is a bureau that reviews and licenses musicians and
prevents halfassed releases from bunglers who do not adhere
to classical values of proportion and symmetry.

There should be steep "cultural damage" fines for unlicensed
musical works, with the proceeds going directly to the
budgets of accredited musical conservatories.
