so I've been just exploring old releases the past few
years. is there anything really original that you've heard?
stuff that isn't a rip off of aphex, autechre, americanized
dubstep, etc.? please post here!

Yeah, I heard some Raster Noton, pretty good stuff. I also
checked out that list that Cwnt posted. How about anything
else?

This guy at work DJs but I saw him DJ and sounded 4/4
uninspired. Don't make tracks but could make those type of
tracks easily. Like press 4 buttons on a sequencer for
every 4 steps and then make a cheesy pad on some keyboard
for 6 minutes.

speaking of aphex twin, I wish he would get out and release
new musics proper and not under some aliaz. Was listening
to Aphex Twin Classics and it was very simple, but loved
those rubbery analog basslines and dark and mathematical
sounds. loverly! Now folks do too much with miserable
effect!

I LOVE 'miserable
effect'.
