i'm getting two pulled tomorrow morning.

not. looking. forward.

definitely very firmly a part of my face. i suspect the 24
hours are going to be poorer quality fun than usual.

Get a partial anesthetic. It makes things a lot
easier.

i had two teeth pulled this year and i can tell you of every
dental prodedure i've had (including a root canal), it is
the most unpleasent. it doesn't hurt as such, but you'll be
bleeding a lot afterwards and they can become very sore for
a few days. in fact, one of them took well over 2 weeks
before my jaw felt normal again. depends how firmly rooted
they are - one of mine was embeded in a kind of s-shape and
took over 10 minutes for the dentist to pull it!

I had four (two top, two bottom) perfectly healthy teeth out
for braces when I was younger. It was awful.

Hope it is as painless as possible for you.

As Tax said, get an anesthetic, which'll hopefully reduce
the pain.

But also as said, it will hurt like a bastard whatever
happens.

Good luck, anyway.

I had one out a hwile back and going back for more soon :(

So year I feel ya.

It doesn't hurt (get plent yof anti - keep asking for more)
but you can feel the push/pull and hear it crack.gross. when
I had one out the dentist had his foot on the chair.

Oh and the bleeding after is a right pain!

Good luck

wheo. . . it wasn't pleasant but it wasn't as quite as
hellish as i thought. The 1st tooth broke so hard pieces
flew across the room. they where weak but deep and they had
to slice my gums to get them out - which wasn't the best but
a few hours on it's not too sore. glad you don't have to
endure that everyday.

Sorry to inflict this pointless information on the board but
a friend had previously recanted his last extraction to me
citing that it was about as traumatic as being anally
jockeyed by a well endowed black man. Hence the pre-sleep
anxiety!
