i'm sure whichever condition he had became more and more
debilitating as he got older.

I have a Bicuspid Aortic Valve, and the only thing that i
have to do is get it checked once in a while with an EKG, so
im sure his was a lot more delicate.

yeah, he still seems to program it like he did the 808, the
Universal Element track from neptune's lair i think is a
Stinson track, drum programming wise.

Isn't there a deep synth expertis here? How can a Korg
Triton Le producera almost all Dopplereffekt sounds? Does it
have a memory unit with otherwise, vis-à-vis 808, 909 etc
synthesized sounds?

Rephlex, in its manifesto, declared the death of the 909. I
understand that we artistically have to move away from
standardized drum patterns, vulgar sounds, but surely the
meaning is the use. Hear (and see) for example what fierce
Jeff Mills accomplishes with Japanese electronics:

Part 1
Part 2

(Experience it to the end. Is the mayhem finale all 909?)

The manifesto was written by Grant in Rephlex founding year
'91. You'd never expect RDJ to keep any manifestations, do
you? How often (and early) would you say he uses the 909?

I guess the excommunication of the 909 was an early sign of
braindance ideology, parting with pounding bodydance
patterns of German raves etc.

But listen and see Mills. It's great and in every way real
art.

how did you find it in the first place ? :-D

wondering what research brought you to it
always searching out interesting little documents like that
:-D
thanks

The manifesto is actually linked under Wikipedia's site on
Rephlex, but I think I found it first some years ago
browsing, researching the genesis of "Innovation in the
Dynamics of Acid".

Acid struck me very hard the summer of 2004 (with two
unforgettably ecstatic 303 live performances by Swedish acid
artists J Kallback and NOS), thus interest for AFX, Kosmik
Kommando, Rephlex...

I will intend evolving to THE ACID THAT FELL TO EARTH. Now
I'm just a plain acidophiliac on the Swedish soil. I'm not
ON Napalm Enema, though I'm definately INTO. I will promote
all things good.
