how much is it? the Aphex/Cunningham turin gig involved a
few chicks dressing an Aphex mask with a red curtain behind
them fyi. not to be hasty but that site is a bit buggy,
without pics it seems a ballet with electronic soundtrack
trying to be described there.

which reminds me of Union Dance's 'Sensing Change' i saw a
few years ago... was the turin mix satisfying?

this should work LAZY_TITLE

He's the resident artist at Roundhouse this year. Apparently
its a 360degrees show...

its £20 per head, free its youre under 26

i suppose its the only way to combine it with dance, with a
soundtrack rather than live - shame perhaps. The visual look
interesting.

Doing something is better than not doing something innit.

i'll have to try with another browser for the pics,
sometimes it just says 404, anyway

was the turin mix satisfying?

honestly i don't remember, i admit just danced and stared at
Richard when i needed a break. can't say from that site if
the show is worth the money or not, just go if you're under
26? :)

-- cheers. not the greatest quality, but get the jist. he's
awesome hoothoot - the visuals are eye catching..

one of city counsel awareness tactics that the venue
Roundhouse is allowing one show free per year. there are
perks when youre young i guess.

init, am going.

if youre interested...LAZY_TITLE

i read somewhere (think it was their myspace) the soundtrack
was mixed live. the sound production was excellent, esp the
more ambient drones. It held my vision in a trance of
emotions with each movement - shame about the audience.

Very impressed with Underdrome - I have my eyes on Darren
Johnston's future choreography, it's promising.

His understanding in oriential body movements is worthy of
appreciation. It is highly noticeable he draws inspiration
from jap horror and lynch's stream of conscienceness
approach to his work. it felt very rewarding as an audience
to enjoy a uniqueness in the four main ballet dancers - i
took a liking to the bobly hair one - delicate in movement
yet fierce in places, smooth dancing, a well development of
face expression.

the animation at the beginning was not strong enough (some
lighting difficulty?) i liked it in places - it wasnt
overpowering, so it didnt bother me.

...the amateur choir involvement worked well. gave it a
dimension. imo, as an experiment to incorporate the
different gerne's of contemporary art it was a success. if
there were fault's they were mainly technical.

a bit long winded, but i wanted to share something i think
is worth being appreciated or a least talked about...
