to sonic charge microtonic/µTonic.

i started using this again recently and it was a nice change
back from the impulse way of doing things in live. i
realize reason and reaktor probably have modules that are
like this, but what other vst and au compatible ones are are
there? i'd be interested in something with sample playback
capability in addition to osc/noise, and maybe some other
sampler type features.

Ersdrums is one of the best freeware drum synths.
Unfortunately it's windows only and you mentioned au so
you've probably got a mac. :-(

yea i have a mac.

well if i could route the microtonic's midi output to
another device that would be ok too. i'm not sure if it
sends its midi out or if the pattern engine is all internal,
have to look into it a little more. I mostly like the way
you can get a lot of fills and what not by changing the
pattern length and quantization is real time.

Guru is a fantastic, it has the best sequencer interface
I've come across in a virtual instrument.

Neat, I didn't know it could send midi out, but there it is.
I just set the demo to trigger another plugin.
