Just curious, and if you do what kinds of stuff?

Of course, everyone on here probably 'steals' music

What pisses me off is to pay for food ( its a necessitiy! ),
especially when its over-priced. Thus at school and shit I
usually take whatever I can get, maybe a book, cd or a dvd
on a occasion. OVER PRICED SHIT PISSES ME OFF, i feel like
im being taken.

I meant at school I take food.

Dvd, cd or a book on occasion, at a reg chain store ya kno

never from people, always from major international
conglomorate industrial corporations. never any big ticket
items, just basic little stuff like food mostly.

Stealing is wrong no matter how you justify it!

I stole a GI Joe tank from someone's lawn back in grade 2.
Bad ass, I know... I should be exectuted. I also stole 40
bucks from my uncle around the same time, so I could buy the
GI Joe Battle Bunker 2000.

I was a little bastard back then! I'm a goody two shoes now.
I learned my lesson.

ya know, kinda like a high for me, makes me feel alive!

I'm not having a go, but what is there to enjoy about seeing
whether or not you 'still got it' - surely thats a one way
ticket back to the county jail!

I wish the UK had the Death Penalty! But then again, society
in terms of violence is even worse though in the US, so I'm
not quite sure whether there's any correlation there!

Jedi - I read some study (unfortunately I can't remembe the
title or where to find it) that showed there really was no
correlation between the death penalty and crime deterrence.
One of the reasons I changed my stance to anti-death penalty
(not the only one though)

The only thing I ever stole was a box of fuses for my car.
I felt so guilty I never even used them. They are sitting in
my dresser drawer and I stole them 8 years ago.

I have stolen many a girls heart though : )

so what your saying is.....that we should try and run a
campaign to have everyone steal physical property then it
would be ok, right?!

me ? no, im being a little more immature about this than I
really am. I dont go around stealing everything, but when
you see shit so obviously un-attended, or shit SO OVER
PRICED ( esp food) once and while I just want to take it or
do it. I never steal from other people. Just maybe jump over
the thing at the subway or take a book that Borders has
lying outside or Grab some chips from my school cause its
stupid, and over priced. Im not some idiot trying to start a
rebel movement, just a reg person

maybe having the death penalty may deter some people.

deter who?

shoplifters? petty thieves?

didn't mean to flame ya .. but i just tend to think that
while deterrence definetly does have a place, 'solving
problems' via deterrence only/mainly/predominantly isn't
really 'solving' them so to speak ..

Let's say for arguments sake (it would never happen..) that
shoplifting was punishable by death......you wouldnt risk it
would you?

stealing!

I use to do that when i was young. I grew a pretty bad
streets... i was soon involved in those type of things.
I used to use picklockz to open cavez under buildin, for the
olderz to take all the stuff they needed, i soon knew how to
open carz, start motoz without keyz.
i made fucking evil deeds when i was young. i never got
caugh.
then we move where i live now.
a good place quiet and cool.
one day , at 16, i tried to rob the flat of one guy who
were rich. this man's got all the things i could'nt ever
dream of.
i sympathized with him to know all his moves and see his
home. And one day, when he was out to school,

when i was a youngster,
car stereos, car batteries, anything else of value we could
find in a car.

we used to steal "the club" people would leave them on the
floors of their cars and we would take them. we had a
collection of a couple dozen clubs in all different colors.

now i only steal software and music.

I messed up the place a bit some more, and i escaped by the
window.
this was the 1rst floor.
i runned to a place near my home.
a hangar where they stock fruitz, and i hide all the stuffz
there.
Then come the police.
i never knew how they knew that it was me.
i talked to a guy about this a very good friend then, but i
think it's him that gave me ass to the pigz.
i ave back the stuff, and stay in the police station for 48
hours.
When my dad finally came. he signed paperz, and stayed
silencious all the way back to home.
When we get there, he beat me to the bone, i never been so

I know a way we can get paid
you can get down but you can't be afraid
lets go to the DMV and get a ID
the name says you but the face is me
now it's your turn take my paperwork
like 123 lets make it work
then fill out the credit card application and it's gonna be
about 3 weeks of waitin
for American express discovery card , platinum, visa master
card
cause when we was spooked and shit we was targets
now we just walk up and say charge it
to the game we rockin brand names
well known at department store chains
even got the boys in the crew a few thangs
po po never know who the true blame
store after store you know we kept rollin
wait two weeks report the car stolen
repeat the cycle like a laundromat
like a glitch in the system it's hard to catch
comin out the mall with the shoppin bags
then take it right back and get the cash
yeah, get a friend and do it again, damn right that’s how
we pay the rent.

every job I ever had I had to get ‘em
on the first day I found out how to pimp the system
two steps ahead of the manager
gettin over on the regular
tax free money out the register
and when I'm workin late nights stockin boxes I'm creepin
they merchandise
and don’t put me on dishes I'm droppin them bitches
and taken all day long to mop the kitchen
shit, we aint gettin paid commission
minimum wage, modern day slave conditions
got me flippin burgers with no power can't even buy one off
what I make in an hour
I'm not the one to kiss ass for the top position
I take mine off the top like a politician
where I'm from doin dirt is a part of livin
I got mouths to feed dawg, I got to get it

People who steal lacks empathy, which is a type of
intelligence.
Stealing from companies does nothing good either, since
companies don't say "oh shit someone stole from us, too
bad", they do whatever they can to get whatever you stole
was worth back, e.g. by having things cost more.
I would also like to say that a lot of people, most people
in the world that aren't poor, have a bad relation to thte
things they own. The things really own them, which is
unhealthy.
I try to steal as little as possible (software)... Music I
buy all I can get my hands on, and even spend time searching
for (legal copies of) it...
