Depends on the person.

My coworkers? Not so much.

My family? Usually.

sometimes.

why is it we only seem to care about negative feelings?

if someone says there having a bed day your more inclined to
ask why than if they say there having a good day.

or is it just me?

Because negative feelings are like a virus. You dont want to
become infected

In england we often say, how are you? how's it going?
alright? we are basically asking that person if they are
experiencing anything negative which may be causes distress
or difficulty. But we say this without really meaning it.

An African person, won't say this, he will say wagwan: what
is going on? which is more like saying, what is the current
situation? what is happening right now? which is less
emotive, however it's more true

As a nation we are pretty neurotic and hopeless of being
cool with each other....ah shit i have to go to work, i was
getting somewhere with this but i cant finish it...

No. Its why I come across as being so distant. I can't
empathize with other people.
