Where do I go from here?

Hello there, I have been listening to ambient since middle
school. I'd stay up late watching MTV to see Sifl & Olly
and Undressed, then I'd watch 120 Minutes and finally Amp.
I credit those two shows for making me a lover of metal and
electronic, and throughout the years I've gathered a nice
collection of both. I've always enjoyed lurking on this
forum and lately I have wanted to branch out and find
lesser-known stuff that like-minded individuals treasure. I
am more into the quiet stuff than harsh, but for example I
have never heard any Aphex Twin I didn't like so its not
that I dislike it. I was just wondering what your
recommendations would be as far as where to go from here.
Below I have listed my most favorite albums and artists to
give you an idea what I'm into, and I'd appreciate any and
all suggestions!

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92, RDJ, Classics
Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children
Nightmares on Wax - Smoker's Delight
Global Communication - 76:14
Airwave - Trilogique
Biosphere - Substrata
Hallucinogen - In Dub
Kraftwerk - Computer World
Infected Mushroom - I'm the Supervisor, B.P. Empire
Jerry Schroeder - Hexic HD Soundtrack on XBox 360
Console - Rocket in the Pocket
Colleen - Everyone Alive Wants Answers
Doves - The Last Broadcast
Everything But The Girl - Walking Wounded
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Mum
Murcof
The Shamen
Fischerspooner
Girl Talk
Nitzer Ebb
El Ten Eleven

some albums off the top of my head that might be similar to
what you're looking for.

ambient techno stuff:

- gas - pop
- ulrich schnauss - a strangely isolated place

shoegaze/dream pop stuff (somewhat similar to doves, mbv and
ebtg):

- slowdive - souvlaki
- cocteau twins - heaven or las vegas

Thanks for the quick replies, I'm listening to Coax - Anomie
right now and loving the atmospheric vibe. I knew I should
have listed Cocteau Twins and Slowdive, already big fans of
those and I have some Ulrich Schnauss... Far Away Trains
Passing By I believe is the title, I remember the name
attracted me to it because I live about a mile from a
highway and I love to sit outside and listen to the sound of
the traffic. I'll check out A Strangely Isolated Place and
Gas - Pop right away.

Tape

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but it
is very chilled out and relaxing.

Rideau and Milieu are the albums I would reccomend to you.
:)
