i used to have a soft spot for these guys, they were championed by mark & lard when they were on r1 and rightly so. chantging their name from sub sub (ain't no love ain't no use - featuring their sister on vocals - bet u can remeember that?), they changed their style to indie rock, before changing their name and producing a couple of great albums come 21st century. after a weak 3rd album imo, theyve roared back (yes i'm loving these journo metaphors, ha) with kingdom of rust. if you're into indie rock and you used to like them and you hate oasis as much as i do, it may be worth an hour of your life giving it a listen. i'm just here to bring a good album to your muso attentions, thats all. take it or leave it. |

absolutely love the doves, one of the very few bands i still listen to, lost souls is an incredible album, cedar room is still one of my all time fav tracks |
