hey guys, I went to bed starkers (as normal) and woke up
wearing nothing but some long shorts...that weirded me out a
bit.

Were you drunk? Perhaps you don't recall what exactly
happened!

offline B3n from Manchester (United Kingdom) on 2002-03-31 17:28 [#00152018]

No, I wasn't drunk at all! I thought maybe I'd gone to the
toilet during trhe night and not remembered, but I never
need to do that.

I mean, I was under my bed sheets and everything, I think my
house has elves

this really happened and kinda freaked me out, it didn't
involving dissapearing underwear or anything, but..

i was having this odd dream, in it a girl was talking to me
on and on about something i can't remember now.. but the
part that really got me is when she said be prepared, you
will be getting a phone call right NOW

that second i burst out of dream because i was awaken by the
phone in my dorm room. i picked it up and no one was on the
other end, very fucked up.. like someone was tapping my
thoughts, mm

yeah, isn't that weird? when the ringing noise works its way
into your dream and slowly wake and realise the phone really
is ringing?

offline marlowe from Antarctica on 2002-03-31 20:07 [#00152209]

that's a common occurrence - it kinda acts like a trigger to
awaken you

B3n.. i don't know, it was more like the other way around my
dream worked itself into my waking life.

i hate phones, i turn my ringer off in my room when i'm at
home because they always wake me up if i'm taking a nap
(like i was) or whatever, just hate waking up so instantly

but it was strange because i was having a regular
conversation with this dream person and she went on about
how i was going to get a phone call and at that moment the
first ring happened and i awake.. i didn't feel the seem for
a day or two

another

I had this dream where I was on a big runway and this plane
was coming in to crash on its belly on me and I could see
clearly it was concorde, however 3 days later it did go up
in flames. I never bother telling my friends this though cos
they'll think I made it up.

B3n, i believe you.. do you think perhaps maybe you saw
something on TV or read an article some where previously
about a potential problem or something mechanical regarding
the concordes? just lil hypothetis testing

offline B3n from Manchester (United Kingdom) on 2002-03-31 20:20 [#00152233]

no, they had no idea it was going to happen.

you tend to forget your dreams when you woke up, and it
wasn't till a week later I remembered I'd dreamed that
happening.

i really like when say you're in class or somewhere quiet,
and you start wandering and staring at things and then get
stuck on a thought and begin to recall a dream you had
recently that's always fun trying to piece together all the
shit that happened in the dream world

yeah, buts and bobs come to you.

like, I have this dream, and I've only just realised this
place I dream about is one imaginery town pieced together of
lots of other dreams.

I can feel heat and cold in dreams...I had a dream once I
was in a burning building the heat was immense! I could
smell it too!

When in school studying for exams, I'd dream complete
days...dreaming that I woke up and went to school, and so
on.. Then maybe a day or so later, as a mate (in the real
world) about the homework we were given...and he'd say 'What
homework??'

Does anyone else get really realistic dreams..??

yeah they get to a point of the so called "lucid" dream..
where you actually control the course of your dreams by
looking for signs to know you're dreaming, ie hands are
wavy, digital clock looks fugged up, text is very unstable,
light switches DO NOT work, ive done this test and have been
quite succesful with the lucidity. flying, being in other
spaces, whatever you want

yeah..every day when i have to wake up early...i have my two
alarm clocks wake me...and it takes like an hour for me to
wake up completely...so for about an hour ill have these
strange dreams which involve the sounds of my alarm clocks
(which often dont sound like they normally do in waking
life) and a lot of times they're related to whatever i was
doing just before going to bed...a couple days ago i thought
i was making music...sometimes im interacting with people
from the internet...i wish i could remember more of my
dreams...
just last night i had a dream...the only part of it i can
remember was riding in the car with my mom...listening to
antipop consortium...that was odd..

saw waking life last night too, btw...awesome (thats how i
came to find this thread)
