when i was 6 or 7 years old, i would stay up late and watch
tv all the time. there was this one british sci-fi show that
had a guy in a costume that was scary as hell to me. insane,
red scary face, makes me think of the rock from fantastic
4... i think it was red dwarf but didn't that show only have
2 characters?

i love watching old british television because the format
has this wavy, dreamy quality where everythings
smooth, making american television sort of like a strobe
light

feel free to reccomend any other british sci fi tv shows too

i also like british tv shows cause there seems to be more
phases with people not talking. seems like on american drama
shows that silence is not allowed, unless people are making
out or shooting automatic weapons

Doctor Who - Tom Baker ones are the best

Blakes 7 - I don't remember much of this but i'd like to see
it sometime

The Prisoner - amazing

Day of the Triffids - also a brilliant book and being
re-made this year by the BBC

They certainly don't make TV series like these any more, the
scrips were so good in those days, almost like books adapted
for TV, really intelligent and deep, newer sci-fi like the
new Dr Who and stuff like Torchwood, Primeval is so dumbed
down for the masses its unbelievable.

For a good newish sci-fi series try Life on Mars and Ashes
to Ashes

Not British sci-fi but I can't help but mention Babylon 5,
it is probably the best sci-fi series I have ever watched. I
don't think we will ever get a series like it again.
