Logic user here, never have DJed in my life but have been
asked once too many times so i think i am going to try it
out.

So what do you guys recommend?
Torq, Live, Traktor, etc...?

since i have no idea what i'm talking about, i'm going to
give my unimportant opinion

since you have a sequencer-based background, you may find it
more comfortable to play around with Live to start off, as
you can sequence the bare-bones of your set in Live and do
all the improvisation jiggery on the fly

but as always, some people like oranges, some people like
molten boron

Since you have a sequencer background, MixMeister Studio or
MixMeister Fusion would be the right choice for you.
