warp can go fuck themselves. oh, they just did.

just when you thought they had no credibility whatsoever,
then u realise they had a small amount left to throw away.
twats.

it's embarrassing, it's like watching a poorly animal dieing
in slow motion. an animal you used to like as a kid and now
hate. but it's still unpleasant to watch die.

Iambic 5 Poetry. One of the very few best songs ever
recorded.

warp have shat on electonic music for the last 8 years.

then they expect us to join in on their obvious marketing
campaign of voting for songs we've already paid money for.

then they expect £20 off us for their new Warp £20
compilation.

greedy warp just wants £20 off everyone.

fuck warp. fuck warp in the eye.

This is a silly idea. Letting people decide is bound to end
in failure.

They should just do something like the Xen Cuts
3xCD, which Ninjatune did a few years ago.

It's a lot of great tracks that are B sides or un-released
or generally unknown or unappreciated.

The warp thing will have a bad mix of tracks that everyone
either already has or doesn't want to have.
I don't know why Warp don't pick their best track from each
year and release that as a compilation. At least it would
showcase their 20 year existence in a better way.

I think it'll be as good as that other Warp anniversary
album that had essential tracks like Pram covering LFO's
Simon from Sydney and then putting Aphex Twin in the track
title even though none of his music is featured.

Xen cuts is great. It's the best thing Ninja Tune have ever
put out.

First of all everybody, CHILL OUT!!

I have no intentions of buying the comp that the the fans
are voting on, but who said that comp was meant for us
anyway. I see it as we've all been asked to make a mix tape
for a Warp-uninitiated friend and we collectively have our
input on the track list. I see it as something fun.

Now, if they are going to release the planned box-set
containing some rare and unreleased stuff, then that product
could be ripe for scrutiny from the Warp cultists.

Ideally there'll be one half baked Aphex track, some Clark
and then a glut of Maximo Park and Battles "demos".

Wow the bitterness in this thread is palpable. If it's an
"obvious marketing campaign" then don't buy the fucking
thing.
