his comments about condoms made me really, really angry.

'You can't resolve it [AIDS] with the distribution of
condoms. On the contrary, it increases the problem.'

what kind of deranged lunatic says shit like this.

jesus fucking christ.

it isn't completely untrue, it's safer to abstinence, but
that just isn't an option for people

anyhow. everyone has forgotten about how a few years ago the
church promoted the information in Africa that condoms are
permeable and even Vatican scientists had proof of that,
that made me way more angry. imo that was murderous, this is
just an archaic worldview, the church has always promoted
abstinence (for the obvious reason that it doesn't work and
so it creates many sheep for the church)

don't be daft, the next pope will say exactly the same
thing. the stupid anus is instructing millions of deeply
religious people - who basically believe everything he says
- not to use condoms. he's a murderer - a child killer even.
it's beyond comprehension that anyone could be that ignorant
- but that's religion for you, all believers are braindead,
every last one of them

i always cringe every time i see the words "vatican" and
"scientist" next to each other.

by its very nature, religion (at least in the terms setup by
the major faiths today) simply cannot be associated with
modern science. morality sure, but even that is made
redundant with secular law and order. i honestly cannot see
the need for religion to still exist in todays world.

the popes comments on condoms just goes to show how utterly
out of place the vatican is. still, at least he is old
fashioned retard. the "modern churches" like this one
make me feel sick the most. dress up the bullshit in rock
concerts and hipster imagery, but it's still got 2000 year
old fiction at its core.

T.V is the religion of our day, instead of blindly following
a church people blindly follow media stations. Even T.V
seems to be dying out a bit and things are moving swiftly to
the internet. There is always going to be some sort of
device manipulating the masses.

i think devout religious people are docile and are more
likely to be faithfully ignorant, but not people who grew up
learning their behavior and values based in a certain
religious background and just use it to express things that
science can not.

Things aren't bad, people are. right? guns don't kill
people, people who use them do, same mentality i think.

but we, the nerdy folks, don't believe in tv and internet
right? we believe in science, which is by no means exactly
the same as religion, right?

Well I'm talking about people not using their brain and
allowing others to tell them what to think. I'm not saying
you guys are but the majority of the masses are dumb and
follow the leader, where ever he may go.

can you point out an example of this herding actually
happening today? Just wondering because i hear this
shepard/sheep analogy a lot, and in religion i can
understand, but for the most part, people are just living
their lives and being consumers of the societies they live
in, it's like do you expect everyone to have grown up in a
tribe somwhere?

My faith/beliefs are looked down on and condemned by
Catholics...
but it's good to hear Catholicism GENERALLY does not bend to
the social status quo;
other than that, I think they get most everything wrong.

all religious people are murderers, with blood on their
hands.

although it's impossible not be a murderer of something in
this world - I do have to eat.

better to suffer in innocence than thrive upon sin.

or is it?

i like the catholic church in as much as they would
completely condemn me, my worldview, and my teachings. oh
yeah, i'm an outlaw, and outlaws are cool. mmmmmmmmmm

i think murder is projected to far in your mind. In that
sense, we murder millions of things everyday, bacteria,
bugs, when we see roadkill on the side of the road, we must
have murdered that too right?

Murder is when you take the time to actually kill something,
not when you are a participant of life and "society."

This site has opened my eyes to viewpoints that are so
radical and unclear that i've been ashamed of defecating,
for the fact that it reminds me of how human i am.

I'm glad i still remember i can enjoy my life without
feeling like my it is a guilt trip.

I personally believe that you can divorce the two. Turning a
blind eye to the actions of a murderous hierarchy in the
vague hope you will go to heaven is quite pathetic really,
far more deliberate than killing bacteria that you cannot
even see. It depends on your moral compass I suppose.

I still don't understand the murderous hierarchy you're
talking about though, are you just generalizing the catholic
and christian church and how they isolate themselves from
the world's decay and problems?

this is a back handed way of saying, don't use condoms,
create more thick catholics to follow me and my spastic
ways.

the blind virgin, leading the blind and horny.
