SOMETHING ABOUT YOU

There's been some talking about Level 42 on this board a
few days ago. It inspired me to make this new song.

It is called
SOMETHING ABOUT YOU.

You can download an mp3.
Or you can listen to it on a myspace.

How can it be that a love carved out of caring, fashioned by
fate, could suffer so hard from the games played once too
often, but making mistakes is a part of life's imperfections
born of the years is it so wrong to be human after all?
Drawn into the stream of undefined illusion, those diamond
dreams, they can't disguise the truth that there is
something about you, baby, so right. I wouldn't be without
you, baby, tonight, if ever our love was concealed, no one
can say that we didn't feel a million things and a perfect
dream of life. Gone, fragile but free, we remain tender
together if not so in love and it's not so wrong, we're only
human after all. These changing years, they add to your
confusion, oh and you need to hear the time that told the
truth because there's something about you, baby, so right. I
couldn't be without you, baby, tonight, now there's
something about you and I couldn't live without you tonight.

Really cool song.

And Utena ... I can't forget that song you hear in the
series when they walk up those stairs everytime they're
going to fight.

to a video game music remix website, that should be fun.

darius your music comes across as an old friend singing in
the shower within earshot of his flatmates, for the sheer
joy it brings. There is no pretense, only happiness and love
for music. nice cover. :)

I honestly don't see what people see in this. Your voice
makes me want to murder someone virginia tech style (and i'm
into naive music). I "get" it, i just don't like it. It does
have one nice Prince sounding sound in it, but apart from
that i can't stand listening to it. Send it to vice
magazine, they would probably eat that shit up.

also thank you everyone, especially DirtyPriest
that was the worst thing you could say to me :)
i can see where you're coming from
but i utterly despise vice and everything it represents
it makes me want to puke
i'm not doing this to be ironic
i genuinely love the song and i wanted to make it my song
i couldn't write a song like this, it's easier to borrow it
i'm not trying to sell anything
i'm not trying to sell myself
maybe i am
i'm trying to make myself feel better
or worthwhile
but i'm not selling myself in t-shirt form
i don't think i'm posturing
i hope i'm not

if you made that post the lyrics of your next song and you
sang it in french i wouldn't recognize it because i don't
know french
