seeing as neither warp, rephlex, planet mu etc acknowledge or approve of the term IDM, can we leave it in the past once and for all? the only people who use it are the people who do not understand it properly, and it only represents all that's bad about the genre. Electronic Dance Music =EDM, not that appealing, but at least more accurate than Intelligent... it's a term invented by a fashion mag for goodness sake. rant rant ants in my pants First Blood is such a good film by the way |

it was invented by a journo from i-D magazine dance music doesnt hav to mean your body dancing tho it can be your brain dancing EDM sounds similar to IDM so it's an easy shift to make and an improvement, all pidgeonholes are crap after all E/DM if you want, either/or/and... if people keep calling it IDM then everyone is bound to desert it |
