as this idea worked cool with a friend of mine i thought of putting this on a forum and check out the results. the idea is simple: i uploaded track. now the first person to post downloads the track and mixes a second track into it. the he sends the mixdown of two tracks again to sendspace or another provider and posts the link again and so on and so on. you may also add lots of stuff during the set like drumsolos, loops, acapellas so in the end it will be just a big massive mashup of stuff. also keep your crossfades short and rather use tracks that don't build up very long. keep in mind not to lower the bitrate under 320kbps because otherwise the first couple of tracks will be heavily messed after a few dozen reencodings. waiting for the first participant. |

i don't get. lets say your tracks is aaaaa's and my 'edits are bbbbb's do i keep all the aaaa's and add bbbb's simultaneously, thusly: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb or do i go: aaaabbbabbabaaaabbbababab or do i do what teh fuck ever. 320 is too many kbps's for me, so i'll do like whatever audacity saves as mp3 or something. |

hmmmmmm..... I don't want to do this anymore. minus 1st so i guess its not really a big 'remix', but a long sequence of tracks faded from one to another where, we just kinda choose any track without necessarily being the creator of the track. |
