i think i'd rather be beaten over the head with a thousand internets than critique a stranger's poetry. it's usually like watching a slide show from a vacation to a cardboard box. i read it anyway. it's awful, but how old is the writer? if it's a kid, i'd tell them it's pretty good, but keep working on improving. if the writer is sensitive to insensitive remarks from strangers, better not mention it at all. |

I can appreciate that maybe you don't like poetry, but still, it takes some skill to write a poem like that. The author's pretty old, actually. But their other stuff is very different to that, so you might like it more. I won't bother linking you though, as you seem unenthusiatic about the whole thing, so I won't waste your time. :) |

i never said i didn't like poetry, and my comments were directed at this poem, not poetry. i stand by my comments, but i can't really take the time to critique in detail as i'm currently being beaten over the head with a thousand internets. i would like to add that the internet is not a reliable source of meaningful feedback, and that a wiser man than me would not have piped up in the first place. |
