I'm really happy, especially since it's Morgan Khan behind it. BUT, I remember SS releasing that compilation of all their old material last year as a crappy MP3 boxset and priced ridiculously. Still, reading about Nu Electro vol.1, I hope it is the classic electro (in all guises) album worthy of the label. |

I forgot about that mp3 thing, that was a bit shoddy. It could be good if he manages to help out people that are doing good stuff but know nothing about getting a return. + creating a community for this type of music to develop not just rehash the old stuff. |

Isn't this the second time electro has had a comeback? Jedi Knights did it back in 96 and called it nu-electro, so what is this? Nu-er-electro? ;) Anyway, from the looks of it, he is planning to release similar stuff to the newly formed Debonaire (aka the fun, bassy electro stuff like Maggontron). I noticed a "2009 remix" of Don't Stop The Rock on the release schedule too, which gets alarm bells ringing somewhat. I knew someone would want to cash in on the Cadburys ad, but I didn't think it would be SS or Freestyle themselves... oh well, inevitable really, now that a whole generation of kids have it as their ringtone. Seems he wants graf artists too. Hanal, whip our your pencil crayons and supply some graf cock for them. |

Legend in the highest gonna look right into this,i mean mixing stuff like debonaire on ableton etc...is pretty much the standard,but i still likes-even greg wilson played last week using a lappie but as with everything else i like to have my own take on things and shall be looking into this for both mixing and graff. cheers |
