what is freshness for you? i think that its the oldest thing really, especially if you talk about music. there is always some ramification, some link that connects some music to another. why we always wait to call something 'original' then, when it is always the same thing arranged and rearranged just waiting for one who never llistened that particular style or sound. pirates, rip offs.. the whole shit has the right to be fun and free for all, from the beginning to the end. |

my hip hop memories are walking in the streets all angry (only on my face) with a wu tang cassette into the walkman copied by a school mate whose brother bought in a trip to new york, the first breakin spot in the town center where the guys gave a lot of fun to many strangers, the first hip hop club opened in milan, i used to go there on sunday afternoon and drink cheap wine alone before entering cos no money to afford drinks.. and fancy chicks.. is this music :D |

Originality in music, for me, is when the artist/musicican simply does what he does, with no concern of how it will be interpreted by others. We can't have content without context, there will always be resemblances between different styles of music. |
